Nurse Unit Manager (RN Div1)

Position: Full/Part time A new opportunity exists for a Nurse Unit Manager reporting into the Managing Director of Nursing, who will ensure the efficient and effective provision of care across the Hospital and Nursing home.

You will: Provide leadership in contemporary nursing practice and promote an environment conducive to innovation and change.  Demonstrate well-developed inter-personal communication and negotiation skills.  Have a working knowledge of aged care accreditation processes including aged care funding instrument or prepared to work towards the same. Be actively involved in improvement processes that strive for best practice. Have strong clinical skills.

Registered Division 1 & Endorsed Enrolled Nurses

Position: Permanent Part-time/Casual.  The Health Service is seeking enthusiastic, energetic Division 1 & Enrolled Endorsed nurses to work with our dedicated staff.

Theatre NUM, ANUM and Theatre Staff roles available

 

Our team in theatre is both dedicated and established in its role servicing our community. We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic and suitably qualified Division 1 nurses to join our staff.

 

The theatre suite includes an 8-bed day surgery unit attached to a modern, operating theatre and supported with acute care services medical and surgical. The theatre suite includes an operating Theatre, Anaesthetics, Recovery and Day Surgery and is managed as one unit.

 

The Nurse Unit Manager role is a permanent P/T position includes 0.3 EFT for unit management duties total hours per fortnight negotiable.

 

Key selection criteria include:

  • Appropriate post-graduate experience in Theatre

  • Demonstrated clinical skills within the scope of Day surgery and minor general surgery

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement and the NSQHS accreditation process

  • A post-graduate qualification in theatre and previous management experience would be viewed favourably

 The Associate Nurse Unit Manager role will support the Manager in all aspects of Unit Management will include some port-folio duties. Hours per fortnight are negotiable

 

Theatre Staff roles will support the team with hours per fortnight negotiable.
