Coronavirus COVID-19 Update 22/3/2020
NDHS continue to monitor the current COVID-19 pandemic closely. Our highest priority is the health and safety of our patients, aged care residents and our valued healthcare workers.
Until further notice the following will apply at NDHS:
ACCESS AND SCREENING
As of 7am Monday 23 March 2020 anyone entering the hospital, operating theatre or aged care facility is required to have their temperature taken with an infra-red thermometer prior to proceeding through reception.
If you have a temperature above 37.5 degrees you will be asked to leave the facility and contact your local GP.
Visiting hours for hospital patients will be limited to two visitors for a maximum of one hour during business hours. Requests for after hours or weekend visits are to be via the Registered Nurse in Charge by either using the doorbell or calling the hospital.
The hospital doors will be locked at 5pm each night and for the full weekend and public holiday periods. The Registered Nurse in Charge will facilitate any requests for visits to hospital patients and temperature screen staff and visitors.
