Under Renovation!
In February 2026, the long‑awaited renovation of the former aged care wing to create a new Community Health Hub commenced. This followed a 14‑month delay while final compliance approvals were secured. Supported by a $5 million Commonwealth Priority Community Infrastructure Program Grant, the redevelopment will deliver new clinical consulting rooms, a procedure room, telehealth facilities, day respite spaces, group rooms, and dedicated areas for health and wellbeing programs.
Demolition works in the ‘south wing’ uncovered structural issues in roof trusses and the concrete slab, requiring significant remedial work. Internal demolition and floor levelling is now complete. The installation of new walls, windows, and ceilings is progressing. Solar panels were safely removed for storage and reinstalled once the new Colorbond roof was installed.
Demolition works to the ‘west wing’ commenced in August 2026.
Construction is expected to conclude by early May 2027, with the new Community Health Hub opening shortly after.
Please note: There is no access to the areas under construction for health and safety reasons. The area is under video surveillance.
